The City of Camas’ Finance Department is once again receiving awards.  Camas was recently awarded the Government Finance Officers Association’s (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for the City’s Biennial Budget for the fiscal year beginning January 01, 2023.

Tina M. Jones Selected as Camas’ Next Chief of Police

Following a nationwide search, the City of Camas announced that Tina M. Jones will be the next Chief of the Camas Police Department.

Jones will assume the position effective July 3, 2023.  However, Council will have a vote to confirm the appointment at the June 5 City Council meeting.

City of Camas Reaches Goal of AAA S&P Global Ratings for GO Bonds

The City of Camas’ long-term rating has reached AAA status from Standard and Poor’s (S&P) Global Ratings for previously issued general obligation (GO) bonds. In addition, S&P Global Ratings rated Camas AAA for long-term rating on the city’s estimated $15 million series 2023 limited-tax GO bonds.
