Current Road Construction Work - April 6, 2026

  • On Monday, April 6, City crews will be installing a new catch basin at the intersection of NW 30th Ave., and NW Logan St. This work will require a full intersection closure, with traffic detoured around the work zone between 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Please use caution in the area and use an alternate route if possible.

Camas to Launch “Think Before You Jump” Water Safety Campaign

The City of Camas is announcing a new campaign aimed at increasing water safety among youth in the area.

Camas will launch the “Think Before You Jump,” campaign in May as part of Camas’ Water Safety Month initiative. Each year, the City promotes water safety with three simple steps: wear a life jacket, know your limits and know the water.

Pajama Party Fun Awaits at Camas Public Library’s Annual Book Celebration

The Camas Public Library invites children and families to put on their best pajamas for a cozy afternoon, Friday, April 24, from 3:30-5:30 p.m., for their annual spring children’s author event, “Llama Llama Pajama Party.” Inspired by the beloved books by Anna Dewdney, this event promises a fun-filled afternoon of games, crafts, and a special storytime with Llama Llama himself.

Kevin Bergstrom Hired as New Fire Marshal for Camas-Washougal Fire

Following a thorough recruitment process, the City of Camas announced that Kevin Bergstrom will be the next Fire Marshal for the Camas-Washougal Fire Department.

Bergstrom assumed the position effective March 16, and will focus on prevention, education, technical review and community safety.

Lodging Tax Application Period is Open for 2026

Attention Camas! We’re currently accepting applications for Lodging Tax funds. The City uses lodging tax funds to support and encourage tourism and cultural activities in Camas.
