Information Technology
Welcome to our city's Technology Information Center
What we do:
The Information Technology (IT) Department supports the backbone of City operations. While we may not interact with the public directly, the services we provide help ensure that City staff have the reliable technology, systems, and security they need to serve the community efficiently and effectively.
We manage everything from the City’s network infrastructure and cybersecurity to business software, mobile devices, and technical support for more than 300 employees. Our team also maintains the tools that power digital services, public safety systems, and communication platforms across departments.
Behind every email sent, permit processed, or public service request answered—our team is working to keep things running smoothly, securely, and with future growth in mind
How we do it:
Our approach to technology is strategic, secure, and community-focused. While the IT Department works behind the scenes, our goal is to empower City staff with the tools, systems, and support they need to serve the public efficiently and reliably.
We do this by:
Planning for the Future:We align our technology initiatives with the City's long-term goals, focusing on modernization, digital access, and smart infrastructure that enhance the services you rely on.
Protecting City Data: Cybersecurity is a top priority. We maintain strong defenses and safeguards to ensure that sensitive information and City systems remain protected.
Investing Wisely: With limited resources, we make every dollar count—prioritizing scalable, cost-effective solutions that reduce risk and improve service delivery.
Empowering Employees: From support and training to modern applications and mobile tools, we help City staff do their best work—whether they're in the office, in the field, or responding to emergencies.
Building Resilience: We work towards designing systems with redundancy, security, and long-term sustainability in mind, so the City can keep running even when challenges arise.
Technology touches nearly every part of City operations—from public safety and utilities to permitting and communications. We're proud to be the team that helps make it all work.
