Water System Update - 6/17/26

The City continues to make progress restoring normal water system operations. City staff successfully returned two wells to service yesterday, increasing available water supply and helping reservoir levels recover. However, power outages yesterday affected the operation of one of the City's booster stations, limiting our ability to move water to one of our reservoirs. Despite this setback, reservoir levels continue to trend upward.

To help accelerate recovery and restore normal operating reserves, the City is asking residents to continue reducing outdoor irrigation and other non-essential water use today. These voluntary conservation efforts are helping maintain system reliability while reservoirs continue to recover.

City staff are actively working to return an additional well to service and are hopeful it will be operational tomorrow. With reservoir levels continuing to rise and additional water supply expected to come online, the City anticipates returning to normal operations tomorrow.

In response to questions about a robocall, this situation did not rise to emergency levels and as such, we didn't want to cause a panic. Many did not notice an impact to water service and most likely won't. We appreciate the community's cooperation and patience as we continue working to restore the system to normal operating conditions.
