NW Lake Road Safety Improvements

The City of Camas (City) is seeking qualifications from engineering consulting services
to design traffic safety improvements to address most frequent serious injury crash types on NW Lake Road from NW Everett Street (SR-500) to NW Leadbetter Road. A complete copy of the Request for Qualifications can be downloaded using links at bottom of this webpage.
Contract Type: The contract type is Negotiated hourly rate
Consultant qualifications requirements: The City solicits interests from consulting firms with expertise in Civil and Transportation engineering for performing work under FHWA, WSDOT, and City requirements. Work to be performed includes but not limited to:
Preliminary Engineering (PE): all environmental studies, public involvement, reports, permit applications, land surveying, traffic study, and preparation of PS&E package. Consultant will be required to coordinate with various agencies, meet federal and LAG manual requirements, and other project tasks that may assist the City to prepare timely obligation of federal funds for future phases.
The City does not expect Right-of-Way acquisitions or temporary easements for this project. The City reserves the option to add right of way (RW) and Construction management CN phases to contract via future supplement. See RFQ for additional information.

Consultant Qualifications Criteria:
- Qualifications of Proposed Project Manager (15%)
- Qualifications and expertise of firm (2%)
- Ability to meet schedule (20%)
- Familiarity with WSDOT/FHWA Standards (10%)
- Past Performance/References (10%)
- Voluntary SBE Goal (10%)
This Contract has been assigned a 0% DBE goal for the PE Phase however there is a voluntary 10% SBE Goal on this project. Qualifications submittals shall be provided with no cost estimates for consulting work.
Consultant Qualification Submittal and Due Date: Consultants are encouraged to submit their statements in the format and order of the above listed evaluation criteria. Please limit the size of submittals, including tables of contents, appendices, illustrations, charts, graphs, cover letters, and any other information, to eight pages or up to four double-sided sheets with text no smaller than size 10 font on 8 ½ “x 11” paper. Two additional 11”x 17” sheet is allowed as part of the submittal for purpose of graphical representations or illustrations.
