Have you heard about the Camas Fire Station 41 Bond coming up in August?
Voters will have the opportunity to decide whether to fund the new fire station through a bond-approval during the August Primary Election. This approval would allow the sale of City-owned bonds to fund design and construction costs for the new facility. If the bond passes, construction could begin as soon as 2025.
On May 20 beginning at 3:30 p.m., the Camas Public Library will hold their inaugural Children’s Author Event downstairs in the Children’s Library. Kicking off May’s Second Story Gallery exhibit at the Camas Public Library, a reception for bestselling graphic novel artist and author Aron Nels Steinke will take place Friday, May 3, 2024 from 5-8 p.m. The artist will be on hand for the event.
My Teacher is a Wolf: The Comics Art of Aron Nels Steinke is a retrospective of cartoon art from the creator of Mr. Wolf’s Class, the bestselling graphic novel series for children. This exhibit features over forty original pieces of art used in the creation of his graphic novels spanning his almost 20-year career.
