This week we have another sibling duo, Lucy and Molly! Lucy (5) is currently reading The Boxcar Children series by Gertrude Chandler Warner. We asked her what characters she would like to meet in real life and she said, "The Alden siblings because they are kind." When we asked Molly (3) what she would like other people to know about the Camas Library, she said, "It's important to return the books when you're done." Our Kid Librarians have spoken! Be kind and turn in your library books on time!
Say hello to Eleanor (10), this week's Kid Librarian! Eleanor has a great mix of books on her shelves ranging from classics like A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle to newer, more contemporary books like Play Like a Girl by Misty Wilson. Eleanor won our October Cryptid Contest for her age group and brought in her creature along with her favorite Reading Dragon cards to add to her display.
This week we have a brother-sister duo for our Kid Librarians. Ethan (8) and Chloe (5) have picked out a wide variety of books. There are some great non-fiction books (war history and Minecraft guides for Ethan and horses for Chloe), along with popular fiction titles like Harry Potter and Max & Ruby. We love seeing the range in reading interests!
Say hello to Madelyn, this week's Kid Librarian! Madelyn (7) is currently reading the Mercy Watson books by Kate DiCamillo. She loves looking around the Library with her sister and picking out books. She's chosen a lot of animal books for her display, perfect for kiddos who love stories about puppies and other cute animals.
We have a lot to be grateful for here at the Camas Library. Something we are thankful for are our Kid Librarians! This week's Kid Librarian is Jackson. Jackson (9) made some amazing car drawings and he thinks the Library is a great place to meet new people and to read.
Welcome to another season of our incredible Kid Librarians! Lily (7) is kicking it off this year with her fun and whimsical book display. She is a big fan of many of our chapter books series like Heidi Heckelbeck, Ivy & Bean, and Animal Rescue Center. Come on down to the Library and check her display out!
