The latest addition to our Library of Things collection are Memory Kits!
These are designed to provide comfort and inspire connections and conversation through reminiscence. Each kit includes activity and photo cards, and a DVD that plays a slideshow with colorful photographs and video clips. Kits can be checked out for 3 weeks with up to 1 renewal.

During the month of August we invite you to create art on the sidewalk around the Library! No registration required. Just grab some chalk and make some art!
Following the high school exhibit, the Second Story Gallery is featuring an equally impressive collection from our middle school art students at Liberty, Odyssey, and Skyridge Middle Schools. This showcase provides a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the budding talents of younger artists and encourages their continued artistic growth.
The exhibition is open to all ages and runs from August 1-31, 2025.
Please join us at the Camas-Washougal Fire Department Open House 2025! The event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 27th from 10am to 2pm at 4321 NW Parker St. in Camas.
The open house will include live kitchen fire demonstrations, a house fire simulation with sprinkler demonstration, a vehicle extrication demonstration, and a Clark County Sheriff’s K9 unit exhibition.
You may or may not have received a letter yet regarding the level of PFAS in Well 13 that has exceeded the State Allowable Level(SAL). In accordance with the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) requirements the City is notifying customers that water sampling in June of 2025 showed Well 13 had an average detection level from two samples of 39.75 ppt (Parts Per Trillion), with the SAL being 15 ppt.

The City of Camas was on the receiving end of some good news when it comes to the City’s Bond ratings. The S&P Global Ratings recently assigned a 'AAA' long-term rating to Camas’ approximate $25 million series 2025 unlimited tax general obligation (GO) bonds and $10 million series 2025 limited tax GO and refunding bonds.
The popular Movies in the Park series coordinated byCamas Parks & Recreation will be held at Dorothy Fox Elementary school starting Friday, Aug. 1, with the showing of the 2023 summer blockbuster Barbie (rated PG-13).
In October the Library hosted a printmaking workshop for teens taught by Clark College printmaking instructor Brian Shannon. Some of the participants were kind enough to leave some of their prints for the Library to display in the Corner Gallery.
