And we are back for our fourth season of Kid Librarian! Kicking us off are siblings, Madison and Skyler. Madison likes to read Victoria Kann’s Pinkalicious books, and Skyler is a big fan of The Wild Robot series by Peter Brown. They both enjoy coming to the Library to read and check out books.

This week’s Kid Librarian is Ai Mi. Ai Mi (9) included some great options for readers looking for dynamic stories in her display, perfect for fans of the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan. Ai Mi would also like to share that the Camas Library is different from other libraries because they have a lot of fun activities!

Say hello to this week’s Kid Librarian – Madelyn! What do The Baby-Sitters Club, Taylor Swift, and ducks all have in common? They’re all featured in Madelyn’s display! It’s a rainy week – we think Taylor and ducks would agree … come shake it off at the Library!

We are back from Thanksgiving break with this week’s Kid Librarian, Mina! Mina (5) loves to read and play at the Library. She recommends dog books to other readers and has included stories about Biscuit and Clifford, everyone’s two favorite pups, on her display.

Say hello to this week’s Kid Librarian, Clara. As you can see from her display, Clara certainly knows her way around the Library! She has everything from non-fiction books about Saturn, a variety of graphic novels, and fiction books like Dragon Rider by Cornelia Funke. Stop by and see Clara’s stellar picks – you might just discover your next favorite read!

Say hello to this week’s Kid Librarian, Jonah! Jonah is reading several books right now including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl, The Action Bible illustrated by Sergio Cariello, and Story Thieves by James Riley. He enjoys participating in scavenger hunts at the Library and has a wide variety of engaging adventure books on his display.

Say hello to this week’s Kid Librarian, Kamala! Kamala (6) is a big fan of our non-fiction section and had created a ssssspectacular display about snakes. This is a great week to visit the Library and coil up with a good book.

This week’s Kid Librarians are siblings Grace, Andrew, and Amelia! Their display showcases their origami projects along with books about the Japanese paper craft. What a fun way to start off the New Year!

Kid Librarians - Adeline and Eleanor M.

This week’s Kid Librarians are sisters, Adeline and Eleanor! The girls are big readers, which you can see from their shelf. Adeline (9) is a fan of graphic novels and is currently reading Animorphs: The Predator adapted by Chris Grine. Eleanor (11) is currently reading Slider by Pete Hautman and likes going to the Library “because it is always safe and calm there”. We hope you come on down to the Library and stop by the Kid Librarian display!

Kid Librarian - Charlie H.

This week’s Kid Librarian is Charlie! Charlie is currently reading Snoopy to the Rescue by Charles M. Shulz and listening to Horrible Harry by Suzy Kline. Charlie loves listening to our Playaway devices. He would also like everyone to know the Camas Library is a very good library and the librarians are very nice. Thank you, Charlie!

Kid Librarians - Clint and Karl M.

Say hello to Clint and Karl, this week’s Kid Librarians! Their favorite part about visiting the Camas Library is looking at books and taking them home. Karl especially loves the sports books and Clint enjoys Dog Man and Cat Kid graphic novels by Dav Pilkey. Clint would like everyone to know that Family Bingo Night at the Library is a lot of fun and Karl says Storytime with Miss Stacy is also a lot of fun.

Kid Librarian - Leah C.

Say hello to Leah! This is a special week for Leah, not only is she our Kid Librarian of the Week but she is also turning eight on Wednesday. Leah is currently listening to Ruby Finley vs. The Interstellar Invasion by K. Tempest Bradford and has also been reading The Little People, Big Dreams book series. We’re so excited to be a part of your birthday celebrations, Leah!

This week’s Kid Librarian is Emi! If you can’t tell from her display, Emi is a big reader. She included books from multiple genres ranging from mystery to fantasy to contemporary to humor. Emi also created themed window decorations that showcase her favorite books from each genre. We hope you visit Emi’s display during your next trip to the Library!

Say hello to Beatrix, this week’s Kid Librarian! Beatrix is a big fan of The Land of Stories series by Chris Colfer and would recommend those books to other kids. She also recommends The Crossbow of Destiny, written by her father! According to Beatrix, there are a lot of jokes and action in all of those books – you’ll never get bored reading them!

You asked and we delivered! Instead of ending in February, our Kid Librarian program will now go through the end of May. This week’s Kid Librarian is Lillian. Lillian loves reading about animals, especially horses, and is a huge fan of Taylor Swift. Her favorite part about visiting the Library is reading new books. What is your favorite part about visiting the Camas Library?

Say hello to this week’s Kid Librarian, Amelia! Amelia (5) is currently reading the Unicorn and Yeti series by Heather Ayris Burnell. She is also reading Pete the Cat books and enjoys Dragons Love Tacos by Adam Rubin. Come on down to the Library and take a peek at some of the other books on Amelia’s display shelf!

Happy birthday to this week’s Kid Librarian, Killian! Killian turned 5 on Saturday and brought little paper book trinkets to share with anyone who visits his display. Killian is reading a lot of chapter books – his favorites include Geronimo Stilton and A to Z Mysteries by Ron Roy. Come on down to the Library and pick up a chapter book and a paper book to match!

Say hello to this week’s Kid Librarian, Mackenzie! Mackenzie likes to sing and play violin, guitar, and piano. She also enjoys coming to the Library and meeting other kids her age. She is a big fan of The Baby-Sitters Club by Ann M. Martin and chose to feature those books in her display.

This week’s Kid Librarian is Navira! Navira brought books from her own collection to showcase and is currently reading about Charles Darwin from the Little People, BIG DREAMS biography series. Say hello to this week’s Kid Librarian, Gavin! Gavin is currently reading Yo-Kai Watch by Noriyuki Konishi and Max & The Midknights by Lincoln Peirce. Gavin brought his own personal stories, school projects, and awards to display, and one of those school projects included an interview with Kary, one of our Library Associates!

We only have three more weeks of our amazing Kid Librarians before we take a break for the summer. This week’s Kid Librarian is Camille! Camille is currently reading The Baby-Sitters Club graphic novels and recommends the Elephant & Piggie series by Mo Willems to all readers. You can find books from both of those series on her display at the Library!

Say hello to this week’s Kid Librarian, Dylan! Dylan is 9 and likes to draw, make models, and play tetherball. He is also learning to play the piano! Dylan is reading I Funny: A Middle School Story by James Patterson, and his display features some great middle grade books. He enjoys visiting the Library to pick up new books and movies. He also enjoys a lot of activities that the Library has to offer and the best part is that it is all free.

Say hello to our last Kid Librarian of the season, Leo! Leo is 5 years old and so excited to start kindergarten in the fall. He enjoys reading anything he can get his hands on and sometimes reads until he falls asleep! His favorite part about visiting the Library is Ms. Stacy, storytime, and meeting new friends. Leo encourages you to get your library card and come look for books! A big thank you to all of this year’s Kid Librarians for sharing their love of books and reading with us!
