You asked and we delivered! Instead of ending in February, our Kid Librarian program will now go through the end of May. This week’s Kid Librarian is Lillian. Lillian loves reading about animals, especially horses, and is a huge fan of Taylor Swift. Her favorite part about visiting the Library is reading new books. Say hello to Beatrix, this week’s Kid Librarian! Beatrix is a big fan of The Land of Stories series by Chris Colfer and would recommend those books to other kids. She also recommends The Crossbow of Destiny, written by her father! According to Beatrix, there are a lot of jokes and action in all of those books – you’ll never get bored reading them!
This week’s Kid Librarian is Emi! If you can’t tell from her display, Emi is a big reader. She included books from multiple genres ranging from mystery to fantasy to contemporary to humor. Emi also created themed window decorations that showcase her favorite books from each genre. We hope you visit Emi’s display during your next trip to the Library!
Say hello to Leah! This is a special week for Leah, not only is she our Kid Librarian of the Week but she is also turning eight on Wednesday. Leah is currently listening to Ruby Finley vs. The Interstellar Invasion by K. Tempest Bradford and has also been reading The Little People, Big Dreams book series. We’re so excited to be a part of your birthday celebrations, Leah!
Say hello to Clint and Karl, this week’s Kid Librarians! Their favorite part about visiting the Camas Library is looking at books and taking them home. Karl especially loves the sports books and Clint enjoys Dog Man and Cat Kid graphic novels by Dav Pilkey. Clint would like everyone to know that Family Bingo Night at the Library is a lot of fun and Karl says Storytime with Miss Stacy is also a lot of fun.
This week’s Kid Librarian is Charlie! Charlie is currently reading Snoopy to the Rescue by Charles M. Shulz and listening to Horrible Harry by Suzy Kline. Charlie loves listening to our Playaway devices. He would also like everyone to know the Camas Library is a very good library and the librarians are very nice. Thank you, Charlie!
This week’s Kid Librarians are sisters, Adeline and Eleanor! The girls are big readers, which you can see from their shelf. Adeline (9) is a fan of graphic novels and is currently reading Animorphs: The Predator adapted by Chris Grine. Eleanor (11) is currently reading Slider by Pete Hautman and likes going to the Library “because it is always safe and calm there”. We hope you come on down to the Library and stop by the Kid Librarian display!
This week’s Kid Librarians are siblings Grace, Andrew, and Amelia! Their display showcases their origami projects along with books about the Japanese paper craft. What a fun way to start off the New Year!
