Kate is a lifelong book lover and future librarian who is passionate about children’s literacy, storytelling, and building inclusive spaces for all. Before diving into the library world, she spent over a decade in marketing at places like Powell’s Books, the Beaverton Farmers Market, and various wineries. When she’s not studying for school, you can find her hiking or backpacking with her family, beading, or being in community at tribal events.

Maren is originally from Idaho. After finishing school in Utah, she moved to the PNW. She has lived in Camas for 8 years now with her family and loves to be able to call this city and area home. Maren has always loved visiting libraries, taking her kids to story time and weekly trips to carry out armfuls of books. She loves reading cookbooks and food memoirs, lots of fiction including magical realism or historical fantasy.  Her happy place is in the kitchen baking, listening and dancing to music. She loves to hike or run on trails, especially in Lacamas.

Brooke was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. She loves the seasonal rain, evergreen trees, and exceptional bodies of water that surround the Pacific Northwest. Brooke is currently a Library and Information Science major at the University of Southern Mississippi. When not in school, or at the library, she can be found enjoying time with her husband and their two dogs. She loves paddle boarding, baking bread, crocheting, collecting vinyl records, traveling the UK, and agate hunting. She prefers non-fiction narrative memoirs and anything related to medieval history.

Weekly Kung Fu Classes 

Kung Fu teaches discipline, focus, confidence, and strength. Students learn the importance of hard work and responsibility. This promotes better ability to think, concentrate, and pay attention. We instill in our students the martial arts values of respect, self-discipline, honor, and integrity. The goal is to help students become more confident, disciplined, focused, and most importantly have fun.
