Say hello to this week’s Kid Librarian – Madelyn! What do The Baby-Sitters Club, Taylor Swift, and ducks all have in common? They’re all featured in Madelyn’s display! It’s a rainy week – we think Taylor and ducks would agree … come shake it off at the Library!
This week’s Kid Librarian is Ai Mi. Ai Mi (9) included some great options for readers looking for dynamic stories in her display, perfect for fans of the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan. Ai Mi would also like to share that the Camas Library is different from other libraries because they have a lot of fun activities!
And we are back for our fourth season of Kid Librarian! Kicking us off are siblings, Madison and Skyler. Madison likes to read Victoria Kann’s Pinkalicious books, and Skyler is a big fan of The Wild Robot series by Peter Brown. They both enjoy coming to the Library to read and check out books.
Join Heather with Bear Hug Bakery as she walks you through the process of decorating 6 large, delicious pre-baked sugar cookies with royal icing. She will go step-by-step to ensure each project is a success and so that you can take your knowledge with you to create beautiful creations at home year-round!
We’re excited to introduce the Cultural Pass, a new offering that opens the door to discovery, learning, and adventure. With the Cultural Pass, you can enjoy free admission to a variety of participating museums, gardens, and cultural institutions in the area (check back for more locations).
Whether you're interested in art, history, science, or nature, the Cultural Pass is your ticket to enriching experiences for individuals and families alike. Passes are available to City of Camas residents and can be reserved in advance.
Thank you to everyone who entered our 2025 Scary Story Contest! We had so much fun reading all your submissions - we even lost sleep over how scary some of the stories were. Congratulations to our winners: Logan Milardo, Reily Cox, and Sadie Haggblom! If you were unable to hear their stories being read at our Haunted Happenings on October 25, you can read them here!
