Parks & Recreation Vision/Mission Statements

In October 2021, the Parks and Recreation Commission established an updated Parks and Recreation vision and mission statements, as well as the goals for the updated PROS Plan. Both were informed by community input. This vision and mission statement, along with the PROS Plan goals, will guide the work of the Parks and Recreation department in the coming years.

VISION:

Council Member Marilyn Boerke

Term:  January 1, 2022 - December 31, 2025
Position:  Ward 1

Marilyn Boerke was sworn into office on December 20, 2021, to the position of Ward 1, Position 2 for  her first full-term on City Council for the term ending December 31, 2025.

Call for Bids Camas Library HVAC Equipment Purchase

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City of Camas, Administrative Services Division, 616 NE 4th Avenue, Camas, WA 98607, until 10:00 A.M. on February 1, 2023, for the construction of the improvement, which will then and there be publicly read.

Meet the Staff- Connie Urquhart

Connie grew up a gymnast, journalist, and motorcycle enthusiast on 25 acres in the community of Ferndale, WA. The youngest of six in a place where everyone knew all about the misdeeds of the Urquhart family going back generations, she split for Seattle at 18 and vowed never to live in a small town again.

Reading Dragons & Friends

Reading Dragons & Friends is back for another school year! Reading Dragons & Friends is a reading program to encourage kids of all ages to read. Everyday they read earns them a special card. Pick up a tracker at the Library, or print one from home to get started!

Position:  Ward 2

Tim Hein was sworn into office on November 29, 2021, to the position of Ward 2, Position 2. Tim was elected to serve his first full-term on City Council for the term ending December 31, 2025.
