Meet the Staff- Chris Tanis

Chris and her family moved to Camas in 2021 and fell in love with our beautiful city immediately.  Having lived in Ohio, New Jersey, and Tennessee, the Pacific Northwest is new territory for Chris, but she feels quite at home here already.  Originally trained as a librarian, Chris instead worked as a webmaster for many years.  Eventually she left that work to support her growing family and pursue creative interests.  Chris took up pottery after leaving the tech field and still loves making things in clay.  She always hoped to return to library work one day so being a libra

Position:  Ward 1, Position 1

John Nohr was first appointed to the position of Camas City Council Member Ward 1, Position 1 and subsequently sworn into office on October 17, 2022, term ending December 31, 2027.

John has lived in Camas since 2007. He has served on the Camas Salary Commission since 2013. He is also active as a board member for the North Clark County Community Food Bank and is a board member for Trauma Intervention Programs (TIP).
