Heritage Park is 5.5 acres and is located alongside Lacamas Lake. This park has a boat launch, making it a popular location for a variety of water activities from water skiing to paddle-boarding.
This park property was originally purchased by the city of Camas in 1958. Design and construction took place in 1960-1961. In 2007, the city rededicated Goot Park to celebrate completed park improvements, almost 50 years after its establishment. In 2010, additional improvements were made to the park through a Community Development Block Grant fund. Improvements included; new ADA compliant restrooms, off-street parking, drinking fountain, bicycle rack, new park signage, pathways and a new swing set.
The land for Forest Home park was acquired in 1946 by the City of Camas and includes two little league fields, concession stands, a half basketball court, picnic tables and playground areas.
Thanks to a grant from Parks Foundation of Clark County and a donation from Lacamas Little League, new playground equipment was installed at Forest Home Park in 2012. This equipment includes slides, fun bars and climbing bars.
This park is part of the 119-acre Fallen Leaf Lake Park system. The property is a destination for picnics and relaxation on the shores of the lake while informal nature trails wind through the forest along the lakeshore. Enjoy a picnic in the beautiful shelter or at the picnic tables overlooking the lake. The picnic shelter can be reserved for private events Memorial Day Weekend through the end of September. This park is 2.5 acres. Some of the exciting features of this park include a nature-themed play area with slide, a log tunnel, boulders and large stepping stones, two picnic tables (with inlaid checkerboards), a seating wall, and trail.
This park was dedicated on May 10, 2017 making it the 14th park in the City of Camas Parks, Trails & Open Space System.
