Generally speaking, each month the Mayor will read one or multiple proclamations on behalf of the City of Camas. A proclamation is an official announcement by the City that publicly recognizes an initiative or observance. All proclamations are signed and issued by the Mayor of the City, and are read at a a Regular Council Meeting during the month or day of observance.
The following Cultural Heritage educational signs were created in coordination with the Lower Columbia Fish Enhancement Group. The signs will will be placed along the Washougal River Green way as part of the trail restoration project.
Following a nationwide search, the City of Camas announced that Tina M. Jones will be the next Chief of the Camas Police Department.
Jones will assume the position effective July 3, 2023. However, Council will have a vote to confirm the appointment at the June 5 City Council meeting.
