Improv Theater for Adults

Come play improv theater games at the Library! Improv theater is a fun activity and no experience is necessary to participate.

There are three Monday sessions at 6:30 p.m.: September 15, 22, and 29, 2025. Registration required for each session - CamasPL.org/improv4adults. Feel free to register for one, two, or all three sessions! For Adults.

Food Drive 2025

In honor of Hunger Action Month, the Camas Library is hosting a food drive during the month of September. Donations will be given to the Camas School District's Family-Community Resource Center (FCRC).

While all non-perishable food items are welcome, FCRC has high demand for cereal, jam, and pantry staples like chili, broth, cooking oil, and condiments. Hygiene items and laundry pods are also accepted.

The donation box is located inside the Library near the north entrance. 

Cities of Camas/Washougal to Place Proposed Formation of a Regional Fire Authority (RFA) on November General Election Ballot

The City Councils of Camas and Washougal recently passed a joint resolution to return the formation of a Regional Fire Authority to the November 4, 2025, General Election ballot.

Memory Kits

The latest addition to our Library of Things collection are Memory Kits!

These are designed to provide comfort and inspire connections and conversation through reminiscence. Each kit includes activity and photo cards, and a DVD that plays a slideshow with colorful photographs and video clips. Kits can be checked out for 3 weeks with up to 1 renewal.

Move & Groove Storytime in the Park

A family storytime that will get you moving! 

Taking place at Goot Park on Monday, September 8, 15, and 29, 2025, at 10:30 a.m.

Bring a blanket to sit on.

Library Art Walk 2025

During the month of August we invite you to create art on the sidewalk around the Library! No registration required. Just grab some chalk and make some art!

Middle School Art Exhibit - Second Story Gallery

Following the high school exhibit, the Second Story Gallery is featuring an equally impressive collection from our middle school art students at Liberty, Odyssey, and Skyridge Middle Schools. This showcase provides a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the budding talents of younger artists and encourages their continued artistic growth.

The exhibition is open to all ages and runs from August 1-31, 2025.

Statement from the City of Camas Regarding PFAS and Well 13 8/1/25

You may or may not have received a letter yet regarding the level of PFAS in Well 13 that has exceeded the State Allowable Level(SAL). In accordance with the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) requirements the City is notifying customers that water sampling in June of 2025 showed Well 13 had an average detection level from two samples of 39.75 ppt (Parts Per Trillion), with the SAL being 15 ppt.

City of Camas Series 2025 GO And GO Refunding Bonds Assigned 'AAA' Rating

The City of Camas was on the receiving end of some good news when it comes to the City’s Bond ratings. The S&P Global Ratings recently assigned a 'AAA' long-term rating to Camas’ approximate $25 million series 2025 unlimited tax general obligation (GO) bonds and $10 million series 2025 limited tax GO and refunding bonds.

Movies in the Park to Run at Dorothy Fox Elementary for 2025

The popular Movies in the Park series coordinated by Camas Parks & Recreation will be held at Dorothy Fox Elementary school starting Friday, Aug. 1, with the showing of the 2023 summer blockbuster Barbie (rated PG-13).
