Activities and Services

The Information Technology Department supports all City departments by providing secure, reliable, and modern technology solutions. While we don’t offer direct services to the public, our work ensures that the tools used by public-facing staff—such as Police, Fire, Utilities, Permitting, and Parks—run smoothly and effectively.

Our key activities and services include:

  • Managing the City’s network, systems, servers, and cybersecurity infrastructure
  • Supporting more than 250 staff with technical assistance, devices, and software tools
  • Maintaining enterprise applications like utility billing, permitting, and financial systems
  • Deploying new technology that improves efficiency and access to public services
  • Protecting sensitive data and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Expanding our mobile technology footprint to improve staff efficiency and extend City services to residents through tools like the Camas Connect app
