Annual Permit Performance Report
In 2023, the Washington State Legislature passed SB 5290, which amends the Local Project Review Act (RCW 36.70B). Its purpose is to consolidate, streamline, and improve the local permit review process, particularly for residential development. Among other amendments, SB 5290 created new requirements for certain jurisdictions to submit annual reports on review processing timelines to the Washington State Department of Commerce. Permit Performance Summary for 2025
- Preliminary Subdivision Permits: Nine decisions were issued. Eight of those were issued under a consolidated review process. No review exceeded the deadline.

- Binding Site Plan Permits: None
- Multifamily Housing Permits: None
- Construction Permits: Seven civil construction permits were approved. These permits were not reviewed under a consolidated process. No review exceeded the deadline.

- Construction Permits: Seventy-two construction (vertical construction) permits were approved/issued. Nine civil construction permits were approved. Permits were not reviewed under a consolidated process. No review exceeded the deadline.
