Application Process

Job Announcements and Employment Application

The City accepts applications for open positions only. A job announcement is posted on this website with all pertinent information including the job description. It is important that you review the job description carefully to see that you meet the minimum qualifications. The City requires a completed online application to qualify you for the application process. Incomplete applications may disqualify you from advancing through the process. Online applications will not be accepted after the posting deadline.

Salaries and Benefits

Salaries

The City of Camas provides a regular progression of salary increases for specific classifications. Most positions provide for step increases, on the employee’s anniversary date subject to successful evaluations. Cost of living increases are adjusted according to conditions of a collective bargaining agreement for represented employees. For all other positions, cost of living adjustments are determined by the City Council.

The City encourages career development for its employees and when possible promotes qualified employees from within the City.

Applying for City Employment

An online application must be completed for all positions. Resumes and cover letters without an application will not be accepted for consideration.

Please do not contact us regarding your application status. We will keep you informed of the status of your application through email.

The online portal for submitting applications is through a third party vendor, NEOGOV. If you have problems creating a NEOGOV account or logging-in to your account, please contact the NEOGOV Customer Support at 1-877-204-4442
