Utility Billing

The City provides its residents with water, sewer, garbage, and recycling service, and bills for all utility services on a bi-monthly schedule. As a result of maintaining and generating billing, Finance Department staff members work closely with water and sanitation staff and are the primary point of contact for utility customers.

Parking Enforcement

Parking management plays an important role for residents, businesses, and visitors by ensuring parking is available to all. This allows people the chance to enjoy shopping, dining, and recreation throughout the City of Camas.

Parking Tickets

Parking regulations are strictly enforced in the downtown Camas area. Tickets are due within 30 days of issuance. Failure to pay or contest your ticket within 30 days will result in the assessment of a $25 penalty.

All unpaid parking tickets are reported to The Department of Licensing/Motor Vehicles. This will result in your vehicle license not being renewed until all tickets are paid in full.

Ambulance Billing

Ambulance billing for the Camas/Washougal Fire Department is provided by the City of Camas. The Finance Department staff is responsible for all ambulance billing, records and reporting. The City will bill your insurance carrier or Medicare/Medicaid for the service. After the City receives payment, you may receive a bill for the remainder of your ambulance charges, including copays and deductibles.

Grants and Other Funding Sources

Through the development of grant and favored loan opportunities, the City has obtained funds for revitalizing neighborhoods, upgrading streets, acquiring and developing parks and open spaces, building water and sewer improvements, and similar tasks. Recent examples include the Benton Street Neighborhood and Forest Home Neighborhood Projects, the Parker Street Extension, the traffic light on NE 3rd Avenue, and open space aquisitions - all of which have received grant funds. Pursuing these funding opportunities is a City Adminstrator task.
