Lucas (10) is this week's Kid Librarian. Lucas is a fan of Stuart Gibbs (author of the Spy School and Moon Base Alpha series) and is re-reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid. He loves Studio Ghibli films which he included in his display. Lucas also wants you to know about the Library's YouTube channel. Many of our virtual programs are recorded and on YouTube, as well as information about our annual Summer Reading Program, and much more.
Our first Kid Librarian of 2023 is Andrew! Andrew's display has a wide variety of books for different reading levels. He recommends listening to books on our Playaway devices which can be found in our audiobook section and are kept in orange cases. Andrew also wants people to know that the Camas Library has a lot of history which is a great introduction to our Centennial Year!
Next up in our Kid Librarian lineup, we have Wesley! Wesley (10) is a huge fan of Brandon Mull's fantasy series and has pulled many of those books for his display. Wesley also encourages you to stroll through our courtyard and take a look at all of the cool trees by the veranda. We love hearing about our patrons' favorite hidden spot in the Library. Thanks for the recommendation, Wesley!
Say hello to Rachel, our newest Kid Librarian! As you can see, Rachel's shelves are full to the brim with great books - perfect for keeping the Winter Break boredom at bay. Rachel has some great choices for young readers who are transitioning from Children's to Teen Fiction. We hope to see you at the Library!
A happy birthday week to Aaria, this week's Kid Librarian! Aaria is a voracious reader and even started her own bookstagram account. Her display includes a wide variety of books for all types of readers. Come on down and check out her display - there is sure to be something for everyone!
This week's Kid Librarian is Sujatha! Sujatha wants to become a neurosurgeon when she grows up so she included many books in her display about the brain and the nervous system. She also added cookbooks, books about jewelry making, and travel books about Paris and Peru. We love to see so many nonfiction titles on our Kid Librarian displays!

Next in our Kid Librarian lineup is Clara! Clara's display is all about space exploration, coding, and robotics. In addition to STEAM-focused books, Clara is also reading "The Owl Diaries by Rebecca Elliot and Diary of an 8-bit Warrior by Cube Kid.
We are back for another winter of wonderful Kid Librarians! Our first Kid Librarian of the season is Samyukta who included a few pieces of her award-winning art in her display. She also added some beautiful Deepavali decorations to brighten up the room. What a lovely start to our Kid Librarian program!
