Camas-Washougal Fire Department to Host Open House, Health and Safety Fair Sept. 26

The Camas-Washougal Fire Department is hosting its Open House, Health and Safety Fair Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Station 42, 4321 NW Parker Street, Camas, WA.

The day’s scheduled events include:

• 10:30 a.m. – Live kitchen fire demonstration
• 11:00 a.m. – Car fire demonstration
• 11:15 a.m. – Kids' interactive vehicle fire suppression demonstration
• 11:45 a.m. – House fire simulation and sprinkler demonstration
• 12:30 p.m. – Live kitchen fire demonstration
• 12:45 p.m. – Vehicle extrication demonstration
• 1:15 p.m. – Clark County Sheriff’s K9 unit exhibition

Local agencies and businesses will host exhibits focused on health, safety and emergency preparedness. Highlights include hands-on fire extinguisher demonstrations, emergency preparedness tips for families, and vital information on community support systems following a crisis.

This free community event is family friendly with something for all ages. Attendees can enjoy a free hot dog, generously donated by NW Natural.  There will be ice cream, a balloon twister, and face painting for the kids.
