The City is seeking an executive search firm to assist in identifying, recruiting and screening candidates for the positions of Community Development Director, Fire Chief, and Police Chief. Submittals may include bids for one, two, or all three position(s). The City must receive proposals no later than Friday, May 20, 2022, 5:00pm.
The NW 38th Avenue corridor project, currently in its final design phase, will undergo construction from the intersection of NW 38th Avenue & NW Parker Street to Grass Valley Park. These improvements will include one lane of traffic in each direction, a left-turn lane, bike lanes, sidewalks, streetlights, raised islands, landscaping, irrigation and stormwater upgrades.
We are so excited to introduce Marko as this week's Kid Librarian. Marko (11) is an avid listener of audiobooks and enjoys both fiction and non-fiction books about space. Marko's display is wonderfully informative and interactive. He has some information about reading with dyslexia and left toys out - come on down to the Library and play!
Our Kid Librarian program is quickly winding down for the winter but before we say goodbye to our weekly features, please say hello to Emma! Emma, age 9, is this week's Kid Librarian. She is currently reading The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan and is a fan of Geronimo Stilton and Nancy Drew. Her display has a great mix of graphic novels and contemporary fiction. Stop on by the Library this week and check it out!
Say hello to this week's Kid Librarian, Elle. It's been Birthday Central the past few months here at the Kid Librarian shelves! Elle just turned 8 and is currently reading "Star Wars". If you're looking for your next read, check out the "Ivy & Bean" series. They get 5 stars from Elle!
This week we have another Kid Librarian with a recent birthday! Kenna just turned 6 and we are so excited to display her beautiful artwork and favorite books. We are excited to present Linleigh as this week's Kid Librarian. Linleigh, age 11, enjoys discovering new books at the Library and is a fan of our book and music collection on Hoopla. Presenting Emma, this week's Kid Librarian! Emma is 7 and she is a huge bookworm. We love to see it! Her list of favorite books is incredibly varied and has a little something for everyone. Come on down to the Library - we're positive you'll find a book worth reading on Emma's shelves!
It's our pleasure to introduce Eleanor as this week's Kid Librarian. Eleanor loves reading mythological tales and stories of perseverance like "Diana and the Underworld Odyssey" by Aisha Saeed. Eleanor will be turning 6 next week and to celebrate, we are giving away free books! Just show us your library card and you can take home as many books as you can carry. Happy early birthday, Eleanor!
