A place like Camas Public Library is what makes a good community great. It provides a meeting space for friends, families, and organizations to come together, and offers enrichment in the form of classes and clubs to help community members stretch their minds and meet their neighbors.
Above all, the Library is a place for people to learn or sharpen their literacy skills and be transported to different worlds through reading. This benefits the community as well. Imagine a community without reading:
In honor of Hunger Action Month, the Camas Library is hosting a food drive during the month of September. Donations will be given to the Camas School District's Family-Community Resource Center (FCRC).
While all non-perishable food items are welcome, FCRC has requested easy-prep meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner along with food appropriate for school snacks (fruit cups, granola bars, etc.). Pantry staples, soups, and pasta sauce are also highly needed.
The donation box is located inside the Library near the north entrance.
