Building Permit Document Submittal Standards

Electronic Submittal Standards:

  • All electronic documents must be in Portable Document Format (PDF). We do not take image files (i.e., JPEG, PNG, SVG, etc.).
  • Files must be unprotected and unlocked.
  • All documents must be flattened and full-size. Flatten out objects and markups especially from consultants.
  • The minimum sheet size is 11”x17” for small residential applications. Sheet size must not reduce the required minimum drawing scale. Approved plans that are provided onsite for the field inspector must be printed at full size to scale.
  • Email documents to permits@cityofcamas.us. The City will allow a Dropbox link to your PDF files.

Please note: If any revisions happen within the plan review process, we will require a full revised document. We are unable to slip sheet pages in our electronic review process.

Physical Submittal Standards:

  • Two sets of the required documents (listed below) must be submitted for a job site copy and city file copy.
  • You do not need an appointment to drop off your documents. Office hours are 8 am to 5 pm, closed 12 to 1 pm.
