Get a Library Card

You can start your library card registration online or apply in person at the Library.

Apply for a library card online HERE.

If you complete the online application, your registration is not final until any required eligibility information has been verified.

Applicants under age 12 must have a parent, guardian, or responsible adult complete the application in order to receive a card.

Live Outside of Camas?

Camas Public Library is part of the Metropolitan Interlibrary Exchange (MIX), a cooperative agreement between several regional library systems. If you live in one of the library service areas listed below, you may be eligible to apply for a reciprocal Camas Public Library card.

Reciprocal borrowers may begin registration using the online application, but must visit Camas Public Library in person to complete registration and receive their library card. Please bring verification of your current address so staff can confirm eligibility for reciprocal service.

Reciprocal library cards provide access to many Camas Public Library services; however, some services and collections are available only to Camas residents.

Areas eligible for reciprocal cards:

  • Clackamas County Libraries
  • Fort Vancouver Regional Libraries
  • Hood River County Library District
  • Multnomah County Library
  • Washington County Cooperative Library Services

Each library participating in MIX issues its own library card. A Camas Public Library card does not automatically provide an account with another MIX library, and a card from another MIX library does not automatically create a Camas account.

Using Your Library Card

Your Camas Public Library card may be used only at the Camas Public Library.

Use your card to access eBooks and eAudiobooks at the Washington Anytime Digital Library or through the Libby app.

150 items may be checked out on a Library card at any one time.

Most items can be checked out for three weeks.

Most items will automatically renew on their due date if no one has placed a hold on the item. Books will automatically renew up to 16 times.

If you owe more than $25, your Library card will be blocked until items are returned, replaced, or paid for.
