Beginning Readers Book Club

For K-1st graders and an adult. It's a fun opportunity for adult and child to read an early reader book and talk about it in a group.  When we meet, Mr. Elliot will read the book aloud. Then we'll talk about the book, do an activity, read some other books, and more! It will be a blast. Meetings take place on the 4th Wednesday of the month at 4 p.m. Registration required.

Cover to Cover

For adults. Cover to Cover is a general fiction book club.The Library will have books available at the service desk for you to pick up, or to check out digitally with your Library card. Meetings take place on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. Registration required.

Killer Reads

For adults. Killer Reads is a mystery, thriller, and true crime book club. The Library will have books available at the service desk to pick up after you register. Meetings take place on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 1:30 p.m. Registration required.

Meet Cute Book Club

For adults. Can't get enough of romance books with happy endings? Then this is the club for you! Join this monthly book club to discuss adult and YA contemporary romance novels. The Library will have books available for checkout as eBooks, eAudiobooks, and a limited amount of physical copies. Meetings will take place on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Registration is required.

Page Turners

For 4th-6th graders and an adult. Borrow a special copy of the book from the library, you both read it, you both come to the meeting, and then you get to keep the book for free. There will be snacks and an activity too! This group meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Sept-May. Call the Library at 360-834-4692 to find out what the current book is. Quarterly Classics

For adults. An engaging and casual discussion of timeless literary classics! Each quarter, we’ll dive into a different classic novel and meet to have a casual conversation at A Beer at a Time (located at 216 NE 3rd Ave in downtown Camas). Feel free to have something to drink or food while we meet.  Registration is not required to participate in the book discussion; however, the Library has a limited number of physical copies of the book for those who register.

Rainbow Reads

For LGBTQIA+ teens and allies. We will be reading YA fiction, non-fiction, and graphic novels that feature LGBTQIA+ characters and themes, or literature written by someone from the LGBTQIA+ community. Borrow a special copy of the book from the library, come to the meeting, and then you get to keep the book for free. This group meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. Call the Library at 360-834-4692 to find out what the current book is. Registration required.

Story Explorers

For 2nd-3rd graders and an adult. Sign out a special copy of the book before the meeting, you both read it, you both come to the meeting, and then you can keep your copy of the book for good! There will be snacks and an activity. This group meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Sept-May. Call the Library at 360-834-4692 to find out what the current book is. Registration is required.

Stranger Than Fiction

For adults. Stranger Than Fiction is a nonfiction book club. We'll be reading a wide variety of nonfiction books to help us learn about the world around us. The Library will have books available at the service desk to pick up after you register. Meetings will be on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 1:30 p.m. Registration required.

Teen Book Club

For 7th-12th graders. Borrow a special copy of the book from the Library, come to the meeting, and then you get to keep the book for free. Meetings will take place on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 2:30 p.m. Registration required

Book Discussion Kits

Everything you need for your book discussion group all in one box. Each box contains multiple copies of one title, discussion questions, and a sign-out sheet. A current listing of all book discussion kits in our system.
