City Hosting Crown Park Grand Reopening July 2
The City of Camas Parks & Recreation Department invites the community to celebrate the Crown Park Grand Reopening, Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., marking a major milestone for one of Camas’ most beloved gathering spaces.
As part of the nationwide America 250 celebration, this special event will feature a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony, remarks from local government leaders, and a meaningful blessing and land acknowledgment from the Cowlitz Tribe.
“We are very excited to welcome the community to all the new features at Crown Park,” said Chris Witkowski, Camas Parks & Recreation Director. “Plus, being able to share this milestone for Camas on the eve of our nation’s 250th birthday weekend makes it even more special.”
Guests can enjoy a full afternoon of family-friendly activities, including a bike rodeo hosted by Camas Bikes, interactive games and open play with Parks & Recreation, and plenty of opportunities to explore the park’s refreshed amenities. There will be food vendors onsite as well.
Crown Park will be buzzing with energy, sunshine, and community spirit. The celebration continues into the evening with the kickoff of the Summer Concert Series at 5:30 p.m.—making it a full day of fun you won’t want to miss.
