Pajama Party Fun Awaits at Camas Public Library’s Annual Book Celebration

The Camas Public Library invites children and families to put on their best pajamas for a cozy afternoon, Friday, April 24, from 3:30-5:30 p.m., for their annual spring children’s author event, “Llama Llama Pajama Party.” Inspired by the beloved books by Anna Dewdney, this event promises a fun-filled afternoon of games, crafts, and a special storytime with Llama Llama himself.

Since his first appearance in 2005, Llama Llama has become a cherished character in children’s literature, helping young readers navigate everyday emotions with warmth, humor, and heart. Families will have the opportunity to step into Llama Llama’s world through hands-on activities inspired by the popular book series.

“We love bringing books to life through events like this,” said Library Director, Connie Urquhart. “Llama Llama’s stories about family, feelings, and growing up are so relatable, and we’re excited to share that sense of comfort and connection with our community.”

Attendees can take part in activities such as searching sensory bins for hidden llamas, meeting Llama Llama, and enjoying other pajama party-themed fun. As they complete each activity, children will collect stamps in their Llama Llama-themed passport and be entered into a raffle for a chance to win prizes.

The event is funded by the Friends & Foundation of the Camas Library. No registration is required to attend.
