Meet the Staff - Peggy Lau

Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Peggy has fond memories of father-daughter Sundays comprised of her dad taking her to the library, then heading straight to the beach for some fun in the sun!  Her family moved to the Bay Area in 2000 and she was a California native for over 20 years.  After making a family decision to relocate to the Pacific Northwest, she began a new journey into motherhood. 

Aside from her passion for everything re: the library, she is a microbiologist by training, and works as a consultant in clinical research studies.  When she's not working, she is finding activities to do with her son Koa, planning travel adventures, trying new Cantonese recipes, and repurposing jewelry.  One might say she has too many hobbies; trying to catch up with reading mystery novels, getting back into ceramics, working on editing her landscape photography, and finding the best French fries in the neighborhood; but let's live in the present moment!
