Meet the Staff - Grace Lau

Born and raised in Hawaii, Grace made a big move to Camas sight unseen in 2021. The first place she and her family visited was the Camas Public Library, which made them feel right at home. Grace worked in a library many years ago as a student, and is pleased to have the chance to work in one again.

While she does miss laying on a beach year round, Grace finds the climate of the Pacific Northwest ideal for her favorite pastime: huddling under a blanket to knit, read, write, or nap. On non-rainy days, you can find Grace and her family exploring nearby trails and road tripping out to the coast to hunt for agates. She enjoys reading science fiction and fantasy, nonfiction books on geography, and madcap comedies with off the wall characters.
