Meet the Staff- Colleen Kawamura

After living in Texas for 12 years, part-time Library Aide Colleen Kawamura recently moved back to the Pacific Northwest to be near family. She enjoys reading magazines (especially The Economist), and both fiction and nonfiction books & audiobooks. She’s always up for trying different genres, and in the past couple years has discovered that graphic novels can be pretty cool. Other than reading, her favorite thing is taking walks with her dog, a feisty corgi/shepherd mix named Joy. Colleen is currently compiling a list of regional mini road trips she’d like to take with her husband and Joy.

  • Favorite Holiday? Thanksgiving
  • Thanksgiving Tradition? In 2nd grade, I learned how to make homemade butter by shaking whipping cream in a jar and have been making it every year since.
  • Turkey or Sides? Both, but if I must choose, then Sides!
  • Favorite Side? Stuffing of course.
