Camas Public Library launches its Summer Reading Program June 14

The Camas Public Library is thrilled to announce the launch of its annual Summer Reading Program, kicking off June 14 and running until August 16. This year's theme is “Color Our World” and the program invites readers of all ages to join in the fun and read for 40 days throughout the summer.

Participants will have the opportunity to win prizes for every 10 days they read. The program aims to foster a love of reading and provide a community-wide activity that everyone can enjoy, from children and teens to adults.

"We're excited to launch our Summer Reading Program once again this year!” said Connie Urquhart, Library Director. “It's a fantastic opportunity to keep patrons engaged with reading throughout the summer months, preventing the 'summer slide' and nurture a love for learning that lasts well beyond the summer months."

The Library will also be hosting lots of fun and engaging events all summer long, including Teen Extreme Craft Challenge, Puzzle Palooza, Spy Summer School, and performer Mo Phillips. Visit CamasPL.org/srp for more details about the Summer Reading Program and our full calendar of events.

Finishers of the Summer Reading Program will also have the chance of winning some great prizes, such as gift cards places like Squeeze and Grind, Bookish, and Oregon Zoo, even a brand-new bike. The Summer Reading Program is made possible by the generous support our sponsors, which includes:
