NE 3rd Ave Trailhead Improvements Scheduled to Begin Feb. 26, 2024

The City of Camas will be improving the parking area and facilities at the NE 3^rd Ave trailhead for the Lacamas Creek Trail. Work will consist of paving the existing parking lot, adding ADA parking spaces, improving sidewalks and the installation of new furnishings, including a pre-manufactured restroom.

On February 5., City Council awarded this contract to the low bidder, North Cascade Excavating LLC., who is expected to begin construction the week of Feb. 26, 2024. Anticipated improvements are expected to be fully completed by December 2024.

Please note, on-site parking will be limited during construction. Portions of the existing parking lot will be available at different phases of construction. Overflow parking will be made available on the northwest side of SE Crown Rd and NE 3^rd Ave (please see the included map). Traffic control and signage may be intermittently present on NE 3^rd Ave., however, it will always remain open to traffic. Please expect intermittent delays throughout the process, and plan to use another route when possible.
