Teen Tuesdays

September 24, 2021 - Tuesdays are all about Teens at the Library!

This month we launched Teen Tuesdays, where each week we offer either a program or activity geared towards teens. All of our programs take place in the upstairs meeting rooms.

Our first Tuesday of the month belongs to Rainbow Reads. Rainbow Reads is a book club for LGBTQIA+ teens and their allies. The club will be reading YA fiction, non-fiction, and graphic novels that feature LGBTQIA+ characters and themes, or literature written by someone from the LGBTQIA+ community. If you are interested in volunteering at the Library, be sure to join us the second Tuesday of the month for the meeting of our Teen Library Council (TLC). TLC provides teens ages 13-17 with the opportunity to make a positive difference in our community and have input in the way the Library serves teens. Calling all creatives! Join us the third Tuesday of the month to collaborate in creating a Zine that we will hand out at the Library. Bring your art, poems, writing, musings, and anything else you want to express yourself.  You have a story to tell and we want to hear it.

During the last week of the month visit our Teen Room on the first floor, where we will provide   something special for you to either take and make or grab and go. We can’t wait to see you here!
