Local Fall Festivals

Local Fall Festivals

October 8, 2021 - Happy fall, y’all! I’m sad to see summer go but there are so many things to look forward to during the autumn season. I love going on scenic drives when the autumn foliage is at its peak. As a farm girl myself, I’m also a huge fan of visiting fall festivals and farm stands. To celebrate harvest season, I’ve put together a small list of farms and fall activities in the area. (Please refer to the individual websites for complete details regarding full hours, entrance fees, acceptable forms of payment, and COVID-19 policies.)

Bi-Zi Farms – Vancouver, WA https://www.bi-zifarms.com/

The pumpkin patch is open through October 31. Paid admission to the farm includes a free pumpkin, wagon rides, and entrance to the corn maze.

The Hood River Fruit Loop – Hood River, OR https://hoodriverfruitloop.com/

Hours of operation for the 29 stands vary based on the season. Their website includes a full list of the stands, a map, and travel tips for the Fruit Loop.

Pumpkin Lane at Pomeroy Farm – Yacolt, WA https://pomeroyfarm.org/pumpkin-lane/

Pomeroy Farm’s pumpkin patch is open Saturdays and Sundays in October. The farm is on the National Register of Historic Places and offers a small glimpse into early 20th century farm life.

R&B Pleasant Hill Farms - Kelso, WA https://www.facebook.com/RBPleasantHillFarms

Open every day of the week! Kids (the human kind, not the goat kind) have their own corn maze. There’s also a cute little concessions stand because we all know pumpkin picking works up an appetite!

Sauvie Island, OR

Both the Pumpkin Patch https://www.thepumpkinpatch.com/ and Topaz Farm https://topazfarm.com/ have corn mazes spread over 7-8 acres. Topaz Farm will decorate their maze on October 29-30 for a haunted night time experience.

Vancouver Pumpkin Patch at Velvet Acres Gardens – Vancouver, WA https://vancouverpumpkinpatch.com/

This pumpkin patch is open Tuesday-Sunday. Paid admission includes 1 pumpkin and entry to the corn maze and petting zoo. Hayrides are available on Wednesday and Friday afternoons as well as weekends. Velvet Acres also offers other u-pick produce as well as seasonal decorations for sale.

Waltons Farms – Camas, WA http://waltonsfarms.com/

Turns out Waltons is right in our backyard! And they have a corn maze!

Do you have any fall traditions? Did I miss your favorite festival or farm stand? This new girl in town would love your recommendations!
