Library Services in the Time of COVID-19

Library Services

September 18, 2020 - If you have you been wondering what Library services we currently offer, here is the rundown:

CURBSIDE PICKUP

Place a book on hold via our online catalog or by calling the Library at 360-834-4692. When you are notified it is ready contact us to set up a curbside pickup (appointments are M-F, 10am-6pm).

READER’S ADVISORY

Do you need reading or viewing recommendations? Let us know and a Librarian will put a curbside bag together for you. Mysteries, DVDs, science fiction, picture books, non-fiction, and more! We can personalize a selection just for you.

VIRTUAL VISITS TO YOUR CLASSROOM/HOMESCHOOL/LEARNING POD

If you would like a Librarian to make a virtual visit we can do that! We are happy to read an age-appropriate book, make book recommendations, talk about our catalog/databases, teach kids how to get a Library card, or discuss any other topic you wish.

RESEARCH PROJECTS/ASSIGNED READING

If there is a large number of students working on the same research projects or reading assignments, please contact us and we will ensure there are enough resources available to accommodate all students.

LIBRARY CARDS

Library cards are free and available to everyone! We strongly recommend that everyone get their own Library card. To have a new account created, fill out our online form and we will email you the card number and mail you the physical card.

ONLINE RESOURCES/EBOOKS

We subscribe to dozens of databases and ebook services so you don’t have to! Most of them can be used at home by logging in with your Library card number. Download the "Libby, by Overdrive" app for an easy way to borrow ebooks and audiobooks.

EMAIL NEWSLETTERS

Would you like a quick and easy way to know what virtual events are happening at the Camas Public Library? Subscribe to one of our email newsletters!

Please don’t hesitate to contact us at 360-834-4692 or library@cityofcamas.us if you have questions about any of our services.
