Library Book Clubs

Library Book Clubs

August 6, 2021 - In January of this year I wrote a blog post highlighting local and online book clubs. With the addition of two new book groups starting at the Library in September, I feel it’s a good time to revisit the Library’s full offering of in-person book clubs!

Cover to Cover

A general fiction book club for adults. To get a copy of the book you can pick up one of the limited copies that have been set aside for the book club (call or visit the Library to check availability and reserve a copy), or check out an audiobook, an ebook, or a hard copy from our catalog.

Meet Cute

Can't get enough of romance books with happy endings? Then this is the club for you! Join this monthly book club to discuss adult and YA romance novels. The Library will have books available for checkout as ebooks, eAudiobooks, and a limited number of physical books.

NEW! Mind Readers

An awesome book discussion group for 7th - 8th graders. At the first meeting, the group will be discussing what books it likes to read! They will vote on the books to read for the year, s and receive a copy of October's book Beast Player by Nahoko Uehashi.

Page Turners

Page Turners is a lively book discussion group for 4th - 6th graders and their adult. How it works: Register for the event, then come into the Library to pick up your copy of the book. You and your child will both read the book, and then the group will meet to discuss it. It's a blast, and you get to keep the book for free!

NEW! Rainbow Reads

Rainbow Reads is a book club for LGBTQIA+ teens and their supporters. We will be reading YA fiction, non-fiction, and graphic novels that feature LGBTQIA+ characters and themes, or literature written by someone from the LGBTQIA+ community.

Story Explorers

Story Explorers is a fun book discussion group for 2nd - 3rd graders and their adult. Every month we will discuss a different book and engage in an interesting activity. When you attend the discussion you get to keep the book for free!

Here is a full list of all our upcoming book club dates, including a one-time Book 2 Art program in August. We hope to see you at one of these groups soon!
