The Library Art Walk is Here!

August 2, 2021 - Our 2nd annual Library Art Walk is here! We would love for you to visit the Library during the month of August and create some art on the sidewalk around it. We have lots of sidewalk squares available that can serve as a canvas for your creative expressions. So what are you waiting for? Come on down!

Event Details:

August 1-31

No registration required.

First come, first serve.

Two sidewalk squares per person/family.

Sidewalk squares are of varying size.

Acceptable mediums include sidewalk chalk, sidewalk paint, and chalk paint.

You provide your own materials.

Content must meet community standards (no hate speech, obscenities, or violence depicted).

OTHER:

This is not a contest, but we will post photos on our Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Chalk Paint Recipe

Sidewalk chalk paint will make your art last longer than just regular chalk, and it’s biodegradable. Do you want to know how to make sidewalk chalk paint?  Here’s the recipe:

Ingredients

1 cup of flour

1 cup of water

2 tablespoons dish soap

Food coloring (gel food coloring works great)

Instructions:

Mix well and start painting.

(An immersion blender works wonders if you have one!).
