Magazines on Libby

February 17, 2022- While many of our patrons have been using Libby to access eBooks and audiobooks in our collection, I wanted to let people know that you can also access magazines using Libby. It’s a wonderful way to access magazines you love or explore a new topic through a magazine. To begin browsing go to the Washington Anytime Library’s website and select “Magazines” under the collections menu. Or, just follow this link: https://anytime.overdrive.com/library/magazines.

You can also browse in the Libby App for magazines. When you are on the Washington Anytime page:

Click on the Magazines guide, the link ‘Popular Magazines’ or ‘A list of over 3,900 titles.’

Now it’s time to start browsing! We have lots of popular magazines, such as HGTV, The Economist, National Geographic, The New Yorker, Reader’s Digest and Outside. 

I have fond memories of browsing the magazine rack at our local Borders bookstore (RIP), and finding interesting magazines I had never heard of before. I gravitate towards the art, literature, and music magazines, and so I was excited so see what magazines on these subjects we had in our collection through Libby. So here's what I will be browsing from our collection of digital magazines: The New York Review of Books, Gramophone Magazine, The Threepenny Review and Art in America.
