Kid Librarian Recap

March 11, 2022 - Over the past four months, the Camas Library hosted our very first Kid Librarian program and it has been such a treat to get to know and feature some of our younger patrons! We've seen some wonderful displays come through the Library thanks to our creative and bright Kid Librarians. If you’re as sad as I am to see the program end, here are a few highlights about our Kid Librarians that are sure to turn that frown upside down.

 My favorite part of visiting the library is seeing the new books and finding ones I already love.

 I get to read lots of books!!!! I like to see who wins in competitive stuff too.

 What you would like people to know about the Camas Library?

 There’s a huge kids section in the corner and they have lots of good chapter books for kids like Dragon Masters.

 What is your favorite part about visiting the Library?

 It has an amazing book selection of both chapter books & picture books. DON'T forget about the audio book selection.

 What you would like people to know about the Camas Library?

 I loved going to storytime with Ms. Karen when I was a toddler, but I am looking forward to participating in some of the book clubs and crafts that the library  offers now.

 I love that you can go to the library and read all types of books, while sitting in a comfy chair by the window.

 What you would like people to know about the Camas Library?

 I like reading books and getting the DVD movies for our family movie night.

 The Camas Public Library is not just for checking out books, you can go there for a quiet place to relax. I have been coming to events and storytimes here since I  was a baby!

 I enjoy discovering new books to have fun reading. I also like going to the library just for fun after school and on weekends.

 I love how helpful and friendly all of the librarians are. Everyone knows my  name. I also think they have the best books.

I love sitting in the big chairs in the kids area. I still remember the haunted house from a few years ago. And I was part of the book club before Covid - we played games. I loved that.
