April 8, 2022 – There are many thousands of YouTube channels, and in my family we try to steer our 9-year-old daughter to the educational ones. Here are a few of our favorites to watch as a family. I think you will find this list of recommendations helpful as well!
- Art for Kids Hub – A favorite of our daughter, who loves to draw.
- BRIGHT SIDE – Brain teasers and science facts.
- CGP Grey – A fast-paced deep-dive into a wide range of topics. Animated!
- Cosmic Kids Yoga – Tells fun stories while teaching kids different yoga poses.
- CrashCourse / Crash Course Kids – Cute animations explain a variety of topics.
- Mark Rober – A former NASA engineer makes elaborate and fun devices.
- minutephysics – Quick physics lessons illustrated with whiteboard markers.
- Mystery Doug – Questions about science that kids ask, answered!
- Nat Geo Kids – For kids who love animals and other interesting things about our planet.
- Numberock – Learn math while listening to catchy songs.
- SciShow / SciShow Kids – Science fun! Great for younger children.
- TED-Ed – The kid version of TED talks.
- TheDadLab – Fun, easy crafts and experiments.
- Physics Girl – Accessible physics videos. Girls rock!
- Veritasium – Science explanations that the whole family will enjoy.
