Create a Soundtrack to Your Favorite Book
June 15, 2022 - If you love creating playlists of your favorite songs, have you ever tried creating a soundtrack for your favorite book?
The process of searching for music that fits the theme of a book you love can enhance the experience of reading and enjoying literature. Many writers often have music that has inspired them, so it creates a full-circle moment finding music that inspires you after reading something you have loved. Creating a soundtrack also allows you to reminisce about your favorite books by just pressing play on your favorite music app.
While there is no right or wrong way to create your soundtrack, here are some ideas to get you started:
- Identify the main characters and select a song for each of them.
- Make a list of the places and settings and then find a song that represents each one.
- Make a list of the major moments in the book and select the songs you think most fit those moments.
- Does the book mention any songs? Add those too.
- Add any other songs that fit the vibe of the book as a whole.
