Library Closed 3/16 - until further notice
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Camas Public Library will close immediately from Monday, March 16, 2020 until further notice and as deemed appropriate by local and federal health agencies.
We have taken this difficult step out of concern for the health of our Camas residents. Evidence is compelling that limiting social contact can help reduce the potential for the Coronavirus/COVID-19 to spread throughout our community. Direction from state and federal government supports this. We recognize the serious impact that this decision will have on all of us. We are studying ways to serve you remotely and will update you via our website and social media with details on that. As we work through future options, please continue to contact us at 360-834-4692 for service, or email Library Director Connie Urquhart at email@example.com.
Our website, www.camaslibrary.org offers a variety of resources such as eBooks, e-audiobooks, a wide variety of databases, book recommendations, and other alternatives, all available with your library card number and PIN. You can return any library materials as usual to the book drop outside our Library, or—better yet—just hold on to them until we reopen. Your health is our first priority.
As you know, this is a changing landscape. While our goal is always to provide exemplary service to our community, I, the Library Director, must also look out for the health and safety of my staff. As of 3/20 no Library staff will report to the Library building, as a result we can no longer serve holds. We apologize for the inconvenience, but staff can answer any questions via email firstname.lastname@example.org Reopening date will be made when it is deemed safe for our patrons and staff by local and federal government. We will keep you updated on that date via our website and social media.
